(Mt Alexander, VIC)

Sutton Grange is located on the southern edge of the Bendigo region, and for many years was known for its thoroughbred racing facility. Since planting of the vineyards in 1998 it is now recognised for the wines it produces. The Sutton Grange vineyard is cultivated using organic and biodynamic methods, and the wines are traditionally handcrafted by winemaker Melanie Chester. The wines combine distinctive style and interpretation with our organically grown estate fruit creating wines that express the uniqueness and characteristics of the site. Producing two labels, Fairbank – the original name of the property in the 19thCentury, and our Estate range. Wines under the Fairbank label are crafted to be approachable, fresh and fruit driven. The Estate wines strongly demonstrate the terroir and characteristics of the farm, also included in the range are some less known varieties such as Aglianico.

(Mornington Peninsula, VIC)

Avani is an ancient Sanskrit word that means ‘the earth’.

Planted in 1987 on gentle north facing slopes in Red Hill South on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, our 4 hectare non-irrigated and low cropped vineyard is focussed on producing only cool-climate shiraz (syrah).

We employ biodynamic practices which enable us to focus on soil health, the protection of indigenous microbes and creating an environment of ecological self-sufficiency.

Our winemaking approach is one of minimal interference; using wild yeast fermentation with no fining, filtration or pumping, creating a wine unique to our vineyard.

(Mclaren Vale, SA)

Fall from Grace, run by Gill Gordon Smith, is a small, artisan estate specialising in food-friendly, handmade wines. The hand harvested grapes are grown and processed with minimal intervention, both in the vineyard and the winery. Gordon Smith strongly believes that quality wines are made
in the vineyard and that Italian varieties are an intelligent response to the changes in climate and they are a perfect match to Mclaren Vale and Langhorne Creek where they are sourced and grown. In Gordon Smith‘s own words: ‘We are travellers and tasters, dreamers and believers, making wines we love to drink from varieties that have soul and a true place in Australia. Our philosophy is to follow the grapes, only interfering when necessary, while making sure our wines are complete.’
